As i scan the online and offline space in Gujarat Media, over the weekend as well it seems we will have this dispatch packed with the reactions over Union Budget for fiscal 2025-26, some number game on investors data and telecom subscribers in Gujarat and ofcourse routine news developments as well, but what is swarms the online and offline media space over the weekend and today is the news of Zakia Jafri, Gujarat riot widow who has passed away at age of 86, THE INDEPENDENT report in its Asia Section, here for you, which further reads that, Human Rights Campaigner Zakia Jafri spent 20 years trying to hold political figures including Narendra Modi, accountable for 2002 massacre, ofcourse majority of media outlets in India and abroad have reported the news of Zakia Jafri passing away.

While in developments from Secretariat in Gandhinagar, The Indian EXPRESS reports, IAS Pankaj Joshi has taken over as Chief Secretary of Gujarat State, with effect from 31st January 2025, Friday, following the retirement of Ex-Chief Secretary of Gujarat IAS Rajkumar, Joshi was earlier posted in the Chief Minister's Office as Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, he hails from Uttarakhand and has done B.Tech and M.Tech from IIT Delhi.
