Fluorine International Ltd’s share jumped
2 per cent after Goldman Sachs increased its stake in the
company from 4.67 per cent to 5.043 per cent constituting now 2.5 million
shares from 2.3 millions shares previously, the company is investing 4.5
billion (~450 crore) rupees to set-up a new 40k tons/year hydrofluoric acid
(HF) capacity at Dahej, expected to kick-off operations by end of FY25 or early
FY26.
Google announced today that it
will purchase 100,000 tons of carbon removal from a biochar project in Gujarat,
India. The deal, seven months in the making, is the largest biochar offtake to
date.
While some disappointing news comes
from Pipavav Port, where Gujarat Pipavav Port Limited, which operates as APM
Terminals Pipavav, reported container throughput of 177,000 TEUs (Twenty-Feet
Equivalent Units) for its Q3 FY 2025 (Oct-Dec 2024 quarter), 12.8% down on a
year-on-year (YoY) basis on the 203,000 TEU handled in Q3 FY 2024. It is also a
consecutive
quarterly decline on the 179,000 TEU handled in Q2 FY 2024.
Welspun
Corp Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Saudi Aramco at the
ongoing Aramco IKTVA Forum & Exhibition 2025, to establish a
state-of-the-art Longitudinal Submerged Arc Welded (LSAW) line pipe
manufacturing facility in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The facility, located in
Dammam 3rd Industrial City, will have an annual production capacity of 350,000
MT and is expected to commence operations by mid-2026. It needs to be
noted here that, Welspun Corp, a one of the global leaders in manufacturing
large-diameter line pipes, has been a regular partner of Saudi Aramco for
nearly two decades, contributing to several prestigious oil & gas pipeline
projects within the Kingdom.
