THE WORLD REPORT

So, what is there in today's THE WORLD REPORT, as i scan the online and offline news-platforms and try to understand the pivots, what i see is that news headlines across the world is dominated with news of "30-days Ceasefire in Ukraine"(!) and Israel's attack on Gaza!

In the latest updates hitting the media headlines globally is the word "Peace" - as Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump spoke on the telephone for more than an hour and a half on Tuesday, March 18. According to the Kremlin’s readout, shared on Telegram, the Russian and American leaders “continued a detailed and candid exchange of views on the situation surrounding Ukraine,” with Putin thanking Trump “for his efforts to contribute to the noble goal of ending hostilities and preventing further loss of life.” Moscow repeated that any settlement must address “the root causes of the crisis” and “Russia’s legitimate security interests” in Ukraine. The most immediate result of the conversation appears to be Putin’s agreement to a “mutual 30-day suspension of strikes on energy infrastructure.”

Asked if he's going to be late, Putin waves off the question and says not to listen to his spokesman," - which is being termed in several media reports that, Putin puts Trump call on hold as he talks to Russian oligarchs 'instead' and amidst that several media reports point to the fact that, Trump cuts to team finding Ukraine stolen children spark US outrage, Yale's data on stolen Ukrainian children may have been 'permanently deleted' when axed by Elon Musk, as revealed by this paper last week, whereas while the talks were in progress between US and Russia over Ukraine, Russian military helicopter Mi-8 crashes in Russia's Leningrad region, killing the crew onboard, local media reported, citing the Russian Defense Ministry.
